I’m a self professed geek and love all things tech.
I learned programming in 1993 when the internet was in its infancy, since then I have worked with some of the best people in the industry on some great projects, (Adobe, Fontworks and Research UK, to name a few), among them pioneering an online credit card payment system and developing the eCommerce arm of Cricinfo.
For the last few years I’ve turned my attention to doing what I love most, using my technical skills to ‘give back’, because I believe we can always make things a bit better. I am now focusing on developing Duo48 into something that I am proud of creating.
I find great joy in what I do and to this day still love the possibilities afforded by the Internet.
I enjoy listening and getting to the heart of the matter. Like Howard Thurman, I think that the world needs people doing what they love and coming alive. I also believe in the power of the internet and the boundless scope it allows for communicating and sharing ideas.
After more than 20 years in communications, digital learning, training & education, I’ve become pretty good at finding workable solutions. My project management background can make me a bit nerdy about organisation and keeping things moving in the right direction, that said I’m very easy to talk to, listen well, and can even translate “technobabble” into something comprehensible.
I’m a dual British/American based in beautiful Bristol.
